Research focus

Before embarking on this research masters, I completed a Geology degree here at USW. During my dissertation, I got lots of support from academics and staff members; this reassured me I would be in safe hands if I pursued a research degree here!

For my thesis, I'll be modelling a geothermal reservoir in Cornwall which if all goes well, will in the future become a geothermal power plant in the UK! My research will be looking at the fluid pathways and understanding the overall geothermal system.

Research opportunities

I'll be travelling down to Cornwall frequently to work with Geothermal Engineering Limited to help the project along. This will be very exciting as it will give me insight into the geothermal industry, and I'll be in a beautiful area. I'm also looking forward to working on my time management skills as I work on my thesis!
