As a USW student, it is important for you to understand Academic Integrity, otherwise you may be accused of Academic Misconduct. This accusation can lead to you having to redo a module or, in some cases, expulsion from the university.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Learner Development Team can support your academic studies by helping you to develop the necessary skills to succeed in higher education. These include academic writing, referencing, and critical thinking skills, as well as Maths and Statistics support.
Support available includes 1-1 appointments (online or on campus), regular online skills sessions (via Teams), online guides, and video guides. All information regarding the support on offer can be accessed on this website.
The Learner Development Centre is based in the Treforest Library, room TRL116. Call in Monday-Friday 10.00 - 16.00 to ask our Digital Mentors on reception about our service, for general information, or to request digital support.

Students at USW with a declared disability or learning need may be entitled to a Disabled Student Allowance (DSA).
Once students have completed a needs assessment with the university's Disability Team, they may be entitled to hours of 1:1 support with a Specialist Study Skills Tutor. The tutors will then provide personalised support to fit students’ specific study needs. To learn more, click here.
