Academic Integrity

As a USW student, it is important for you to understand Academic Integrity, otherwise you may be accused of Academic Misconduct. This accusation can lead to you having to redo a module or, in some cases, expulsion from the university.

  • We recruit current USW students to support their peers in navigating university life. Become a part of the Learner Development Service by taking on one or more of the voluntary roles we offer.

The Learner Development Service operates across all USW campuses.

Our main centre is based in the Treforest Library (room TRL116).

You can visit us there Monday-Friday, 10:00-16:00 to speak with one of our Digital Mentors (DMs) who can help with general enquiries, provide digital support, and guide you on how to access our services.

If you need support with your academic work, our Digital Mentors can help you get in touch with one of our Learner Development Specialists, or you can book an appointment directly through AZO.

For any other queries, you can also use our Chatbot.

Our Learner Development Specialists are experienced academic tutors who support you with your studies. They can help with areas such as academic writing, study skills, and assignment preparation.

To find out more about our team and their expertise, visit our Meet the Team page.

Students at USW with a declared disability or learning need may be entitled to a Disabled Student Allowance (DSA).

Once students have completed a needs assessment with the university's Disability Team, they may be entitled to hours of 1:1 support with a Specialist Study Skills Tutor. The tutors will then provide personalised support to fit students’ specific study needs. To learn more, click here.
