How to book an appointment using Advice Zone Online.

This page explains how to book an appointment with one of USW's student support services.

You should always keep your contact details up to date in case the University needs to contact you.

Appointments via Advice Zone Online

Appointment Types

Please read the notes below and visit the service's website before booking.

Disability Advice Team 

The Disability Advice Team helps USW students who have disabilities, including physical, sensory, mental health or unseen disabilities. Drop-in sessions are available during term-time.

USW Health Team

The USW Health Team supplements the services of your GP and the NHS.

Learner Development Service

Book an Academic Study Skills appointment to speak to an academic skills tutor or a Maths Support appointment to speak to a maths tutor on a one-to-one basis. 

Library

Book an appointment with a librarian who specialises in your subject area.

Student Money Advice Team

Are you experiencing financial difficulties or problems with your student funding? The Student Money Advice Team can help.

Student Success Officers

Book an appointment with your Student Success Officer to discuss anything that is affecting your ability to study or if we have reached out to you to offer support.

Wellbeing Advice

If you are struggling with your mental health and would like to talk to someone about the support available to you, book a Wellbeing Advice Appointment.

Booking an appointment

Go to Advice Zone Online to start the booking process. 

Inside Advice Zone Online choose the appointment you want from the list, or search using a keyword.

Services are offering appointments through a range of contact methods, eg, via telephone, Microsoft Teams or on campus (face-to-face). You will be asked to choose a contact method from those available during booking.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you require the appointment through the medium of Welsh or English.  Please note, it may be necessary to arrange for a simultaneous translator to be present.

Cancelling an appointment

If for any reason you cannot attend your appointment, please cancel your booking as soon as you can as this will free up the time for another student.

To cancel an appointment, log in to Advice Zone Online and in 'My Bookings' select the appointment then 'Cancel booking'. 

Careers appointments

USW Careers offer appointments via CareersConnect which is not part of Advice Zone Online. See their page Ask a question / book an appointment for more details.
