The Learner Development Service consists of Learner Development Specialists, a Maths Learner Development Specialist, and a team of Specialist Study Skills Tutors who support disabled students. All are highly qualified to support you with your studies.

Learner Development (LD) specialists help students identify and achieve appropriate academic writing and assessment preparation requirements for Higher Education. The Team of LD Specialists work alongside a small team of Digital Mentors and Academic Integrity Champions who are established students at USW.

Specialist Study Skills Support
The Specialist Study Skills Team aim to reduce any disability related difficulties you might encounter in your academic work. Specialist study skills tutors offer 1-1 study skills sessions that enable students to build their academic skills to allow them to study and learn efficiently. These skills range from basics such as grammar and punctuation to academic writing styles, researching, referencing, analysing, reflecting and time management.
Specialist Study Skills support is funded as part of the Disabled Students Allowances (DSA) package.
