Prize Draw Terms and Conditions
The promoter is: the University of South Wales, Llantwit Road, Treforest, Pontypridd CF37 1DL, Future Students Department, Student Recruitment team referred to as ("The University").
The title of the prize draw is USW Enquirers 2025 Prize Draw.
Terms and Conditions
The University invites all Enquirers to take part in our USW Enquirers 2025 Prize Draw. In this Prize Draw (“Enquirer(s)”) means a person who has not applied to study at, or is not currently enrolled as a student of, the University.
The Rules
1. How to enter
- We are running a series of prize draws that will run from 1st September 2025 to 6 July 2026. There is a total of 3 prize draws, the details of each prize draw are detailed in Condition 3. The Prize, Prize Details (table)
- There is a limit of one entry per person per prize draw. You cannot be selected as the winner for more than one prize draw. If you win a prize draw, you will be ineligible for all future prize draws. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted.
- To enter the prize draw, complete the Microsoft Form provided by your school and/or college or through University events.
- The USW Enquirers 2025 Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
- All prize draw entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted.
- By submitting a prize draw entry to the USW Enquirers 2025 Prize Draw you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The winning entrant(s) will then be drawn at random from all eligible entries within the applicable prize draw dates.
2. Eligibility
- The prize draw is only open to Enquirers aged 14 years or over. and whose eligibility can be verified against data held by the University, except employees of the University or any affiliated companies, and members of their immediate families or households. Parents or guardians may enter on a child’s behalf, and entrants under the age of 16 must obtain written parental or guardian consent to enter and claim a prize.
- You are not eligible to enter this Prize Draw if you have applied, or have an offer, to study at the University.
- In entering the prize draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win.
- The University reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize draw or you are deemed ineligible according to the University’s records.
3. The prize
- The prize is supplied by the University. The University reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the University's control makes it necessary to do so
- There is no alternative prize available and the prize is non-negotiable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternatives will be offered. The University’s use of particular brands as prizes does not imply any affiliation with or endorsement of such brands.
- The University does not provide any form of practical support for the prize; the prize is provided “as is”. Prizes may be subject to their own terms and conditions issued by the relevant provider. To accept the prize, the winner must also accept any applicable prize terms and conditions (for example, gift card terms and conditions).

4. Winner Announcement
- The decision of the University is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
- The University will contact the winner through the email address used for the prize draw entry as soon as is practicable on or after the Announcement Date. The University will not amend this contact information once the prize entry has been submitted and all communication will be done using the email provided to the University.
- The surname and county of the winner(s) will be publicly announced on the Announcement Date on the University Schools and Colleges website Schools and Colleges - University of South Wales once they have accepted the prize. Entry into the prize draw provides your agreement to disclose your name as a prize draw winner in this way. If you object to your information being published, please email us at: [email protected].

5. Claiming the prize
- If you are the winner of a prize, you will have 72 hours from the email sent to you on or after the Announcement Date to claim the prize by responding to our email to you provided during the verification process (detailed at Condition 2). If you do not claim your prize by this time your claim will become invalid.
- The prize cannot be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
- The University will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within the time specified, the University reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant selected from the runner-up entries that were received before the Closing Date of the relevant prize draw.
- The University does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
- The University will make delivery/collection arrangements through mutual agreement, within 14 days of the Announcement Date except where delivery arrangements are stipulated in Condition 3. The Prize, Prize Details.
6. Limitation of Liability
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the University, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any entrant, winner or third party except in the event of personal injury or death resulting directly from the University’s negligence. Your statutory rights are not affected.
7. Data Protection
- Personal information will be held by the University for the purposes of this prize draw and will be stored and used in accordance with the General Privacy Notice or general: Privacy Notices and Use of Personal Information | University of South Wales. See also Condition 4., with regard to the verification and announcement of prize winners.
8. General Terms
- If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the University may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the prize draw.
- The University reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
- These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the University and you agree to use only the courts of England and Wales.
- In the event of any dispute, the decision of the University is final.
