The University of South Wales' award-winning team of experts work with schools and colleges around the UK delivering interactive workshops in English or Welsh that are designed to inform students about higher education, and support them with the transition to university.

Suitable for year 12 and 13 or equivalent students
We offer a range of bespoke activities specifically for those students applying for nursing and midwifery courses.
From writing the personal statement, to preparing for an interview, our team of experts will provide impartial advice and guidance to assist students through the application process.
Please note, sessions require a minimum of 10 students.

Within this session students can find out how they can gain a degree, 5 years work experience and no student debt through our sponsored degree programme.
With degrees in Accounting, Business, Computing, Engineering, Law and Surveying, students can apply their academic knowledge to real-life work within a company.
The session takes approximately 30 minutes. We are also able to attend Parents' Evenings, Open Evenings and Careers Fairs hosted by your school or college.

This session allows students to identify the type and amount of financial support they could receive, as well as address any financial concerns they may have.

This interactive workshop will provide students with a set of skills that are essential for level 3 study and beyond.
During this workshop students will consider a wide range of study skills, including:

From registration and course choice, through to results day and clearing, this session guides students through the full UCAS process and highlights how students can make the most of their UCAS application.

This interactive, discussion-based workshop equips learners with strategies to ensure a positive well-being.

This interactive session answers three basic questions:
- Is university worthwhile?
- Is university achievable?
- Is university affordable?
The session will highlight the different approaches to researching and discovering the right university and course.
The session will also encourage students to consider how they can get the most out of open days and higher education conventions.

This session can range from a short practical guide to an hour-long hands-on workshop. All sessions will help students understand what universities are looking for, how to present themselves in the best light and how to find the motivation to 'get it done'.

This interactive workshop helps Year 12 (or equivalent) students adjust to the transition from secondary school to sixth form or college. Focusing on independent learning, time management, and self-motivation, it highlights essential skills for success in both education and future careers. A perfect starting point for September or October, it provides practical tips to help students thrive.
This session will enable you to achieve Gatsby Benchmark 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7.

Suitable for Year 13 or equivalent students who have applied for university.
This session helps students prepare for the transition to university, covering key topics like replying to offers, applicant days, budgeting, accommodation, and settling into university life. Packed with practical advice, it’s ideal for students planning their next steps and getting ready for September.

Suitable for year 1 and 2 USW higher education students studying at our partner colleges.
These sessions are tailored to support higher education students in our partner colleges, to enable them in accessing USW facilities and resources, as well as introducing them to progression incentives and benefits. Sessions can range from campus visits to in-college sessions and can be tailored to your group's needs.
