The Need
Contact is a UK charity supporting families with disabled children, offering advice and information, regardless of a child’s situation or condition. It also aids professionals assisting these families and campaigns for their rights in the UK.
As part of this mission, Contact needed a central, accessible location for meetings and events that could comfortably accommodate their members from various regions including RCT, Newport, Blaenau Gwent, and Torfaen. The venue needed to be accommodating and provide a supportive environment for individuals with specific needs.
The solution
USW's Conference Centre in Treforest proved to be the ideal venue for Contact a Family. The facility's accessibility and the staff’s understanding of the charity’s requirements made it a perfect fit. The venue was used for various purposes including regional partnership board meetings and collaborative events with student nurses from the university. USW's team consistently provided a warm welcome and went above and beyond to meet the charity's needs, ensuring every event ran smoothly.
