Immersed Festival

Immersed is a live, multi-media arts festival created and delivered by our students. It’s a real festival with real audiences, real venues and real industry involvement, giving you the chance to step into the creative industries while you study.

Each year, our Creative Industries students produce Immersed, a public festival bringing together music, film, art, design and theatre, supported by Cardiff Music City, UK Music and Music Declares Emergency, and offering real-world industry experience with live audiences and venues.

At USW, you don't just learn about industry, you are immersed in it.

Immersed is a collaborative project where different skills come together, and your role reflects the course you study, so you can contribute in a way that builds on your strengths.

You might be curating and booking the lineup, supporting live performances, running marketing campaigns or managing production. You could also help programme and coordinate elements across the festival, from showcases and screenings to installations and fringe events, or be part of the Immersed TV team, producing and broadcasting live content throughout the festival.

You’ll work alongside industry professionals and the local community, using the skills you develop on your course in a live environment. You can get involved in music programming, performance, marketing, promotion and production, taking your ideas from concept through to delivery.
