What is UniLife?

UniLife is USW's student portal, which brings together various student websites, systems and services.

Log into UniLife with your student email address and password: https://unilife.southwales.ac.uk.

UniLife homepage key features

Banners
The banners (sliding picture with text) change regularly and highlight a variety of university support information that are of immediate and current relevance to students.

Mail 
Mail takes you to your Microsoft Outlook student email account.

Calendar  
Calendar displays the daily view of the events in your Outlook calendar (including your timetable)

Your news 
Keep up-to-date with what's happening at USW.

Student events 
Find out about the variety of events that you can get involved in at USW.

Book an appointment 
Book appointments with specialist support services.

Check your enrolment status 
A check your enrolment status 'pop-up' will appear on your first log-in to enable you to check you have fully completed online enrolment. A check your enrolment status tile will then appear on subsequent log-ins.

Office 365 
Office 365 takes you to your account where you can access your Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel etc. 

Blackboard 
A direct link to your Blackboard homepage.

Library account 
Your Library account information.

Balance 
View your library account plus any outstanding University debts.

Student information 
Check the personal information recorded against your USW student record.

Update your details 
How to update your personal details.

Student Letters 
Eligible students can request a Student Status and Council Tax Exemption Certificate that are automatically sent to a student's USW email address. Please note, that there is a slight delay between requesting the letter and receiving it in your mail account.

Other UniLife features:

  • The 'Search UniLife' button goes to the UniLife A-Z where you can search UniLife websites and associated webpages
  • The side navigation menu includes links to send feedback and frequently accessed USW webpages and systems. 
  • You can view UniLife in the Welsh language by selecting the Cymraeg button in the top right-hand corner and switching to Cymraeg (Welsh). Please note, that some areas such as Banners and News currently display in both English and Welsh regardless of the language you have chosen.
