The 2025 National Eisteddfod will be held in Wrexham from 2-9 August.

The University of South Wales (USW) will have a stand at the National Eisteddfod which will be held in Wrexham from 2-9 August.

We will be showcasing all that the university has to offer, hosting exciting activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

What is the National Eisteddfod?

The National Eisteddfod is a celebration of the culture and language in Wales. The festival attracts around 150,000 visitors and over 250 trade stands and stalls each year and encompasses all aspects of the arts and culture in Wales. It is an inclusive and welcoming festival, which attracts thousands of Welsh speakers, Welsh learners and those who do not speak the language every year.

Nursing Taster Session:
Interested in nursing at USW? Come along and meet a lecturer and have a go at measuring your blood pressure, listening to your heart, taking your temperature, learning CPR, and see how we use moulage (mock injury) for the purpose of training.

Psychology Taster Session:
Have you ever wondered what your brain looks like and how it helps you switch between tasks? Get hands-on by dissecting a Play-Doh brain to explore its different regions, then put your mind to the test with a fun attention-switching challenge inspired by research on the bilingual brain!
