Applicant Experience Days are by invitation only and are exclusively for our applicants. The event is a more in-depth, tailored programme that offers you the support to make USW your Firm Choice.

To help you prepare and get the most out of the day, we’ve compiled a list of FAQs to try to answer your questions.

The location of your Applicant Experience Day sessions will depend on which subject(s) you have been offered a place for. You will be advised of the location once you have inputted your details on the booking form.

Yes! You can claim for costs incurred in travelling to attend an Applicant Experience Day. Check our travel bursary pages for more details and how to claim.

We’ll confirm which campus you’ll be visiting in your booking email.

  • Pontypridd – free on-site
  • Cardiff and Newport – public parking

Our Applicant Experience Days broadly run between 9.30am – 2.00pm, during which you will have the opportunity to visit your academic department(s) and have time to explore the campus.

The specific schedule for the academic department(s) you are visiting will be sent to you in advance of the event to enable you to plan your time with us. We will also share further information about where and when you will need to register during your visit.

The programme will be included in the email you receive closer to the event. This will include useful advice to help you plan your visit. Please note that it will not be necessary for you to book to attend any specific talks in advance of the Applicant Experience Day.

When you arrive at campus, our team of staff and student ambassadors will be on hand to welcome you and provide directions and advice.
