For me, “Give to Gain” has been embodied by colleagues who created space for me before I fully believed I deserved it. They shared knowledge openly, advocated for my work, and trusted me with opportunities that stretched me.

That experience has reinforced how powerful intentional sponsorship can be. When women are given space, visibility, and encouragement, they gain not only progression but confidence.

My hope is that this culture of shared space continues at USW, so that women at every stage feel enabled to contribute fully and to lead in ways that are authentic and sustainable.
