The University offers scholarships worth up to £2,500 for undergraduates and £2,500 for postgraduates. MBA/MBA Global/LLM and LPC students will receive £2,000.

Academic entry requirements

We assess every applicant on individual merit and accept an extensive range of academic qualifications including the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE).

Entry onto undergraduate courses

Applicants who hold the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) will be considered for first year entry onto a bachelor's degree or an appropriate Foundation Programme

Also considered for entry:

  • International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma
  • Applicants who have successfully completed one to two years of college or university study will be considered for advanced entry to the 2nd year of a relevant degree programme.

The requirements listed above are the minimum requirements and some courses may have higher requirements.

 

Entry onto postgraduate courses

Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree from The University of the West Indies or Barbados Community College with a minimum GPA of 2.0 above will be considered for admission onto a master’s degree.

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for university study. As a guide applicants should have a grade C or above in English GCE Ordinary Level English or a grade one, two or three in General Proficiency at Secondary Education Certificate.
