Meet Amna

When looking for universities, I was searching for sports related courses for an MSc program. I browsed the web for a good few days and found out that USW is ranked one of the highest particularly for its Sports and Exercise science programs and then I ended up getting admission to it.

I am studying MSc Sport, Health and Exercise science. I scrolled through the program details and the modules really caught my attention. The website was comprehensive and had detailed description of each module and I realised they were all according to my interest. 

My favourite thing about the course is the way it was taught; the lectures were focused on explaining the practical application of the theory and I really enjoyed it.

The welcome week was super fun. I met a lot of local and international students and USW team was extremely welcoming. I enjoyed the games and took home some freebies too.

I didn’t join any societies, but I did join the netball team as the team’s physio and really enjoyed my time with them. 

South Wales is a diverse region, and I have had a lot of fun during my stay. I enjoyed hanging out with my friends in Cardiff and going out for food. I travelled to Bridgend, Swansea and Caerphilly castle which is so beautiful.

I have had a wonderful experience at USW and I would totally recommend other international students to come here as well.
