Everything you need to know
As a self-funding international student from Pakistan, you are eligible for a scholarship of:
- £2,500 per year for undergraduate students
- £2,500 per year for postgraduate students
This applies for courses starting in September 2024 and February 2025. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application.

Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.
English Qualifications
Proficiency in English is essential for undergraduate and postgraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English language qualifications:
- GCSE English at grade C
- IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component.
Please note that some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University’s standard requirements. Please see the course page for further information.
Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.
Academic Qualifications
- Undergraduate entry for applicants who have an overall average of 65% and above in the year 12 Intermediate (HSC) in a relevant subject area.
- Applicants with a 2 year Bachelor degree with 55% and above plus IELTS 6.0 or equivalent will be considered for advanced entry to year 2 or of a Bachelor degree depending on the subject area in question and the module match.
- There are a number of colleges in Pakistan which deliver HND qualifications from a number of awarding bodies. These can be considered for advanced entry onto a Bachelor degree on a case by case basis depending on the subject area in question and the module match.

- Holders of a good Bachelor degree (GPA of 2.2 or above out of 4.0 or 55% or above) from a 4 year degree
- Successful completion of a Master degree
- Holders of LLB degree will be considered for entry onto the LLM award
