Eligible students from Sweden still pay the same fees as UK students at USW.

We have three vibrant campuses around the capital city of Wales; Cardiff. Here, you can enjoy a high standard of living at a low cost. Most of our 500 + courses are recognised or accredited by professional organisations and are all taught with employability in mind. Our Undergraduate and Postgraduate EU Scholarship scheme offers a scholarship on the international tuition fees for EU students joining us in academic year 2024/2025. The scholarship awarded will ensure that the tuition fees paid do not exceed the fee currently paid by UK students.

You will be considered for a scholarship automatically when we receive your application to study. You do not need to make a separate scholarship application. You will receive confirmation of a scholarship with your offer letter and it applies to all years of study.

Foundation Years are available to students who don't meet the academic requirements for entry directly onto year 1 of a Bachelor degree.

Academic Qualifications

Avgångsbetyg / Slutbetyg från Gymnasieskola or Komvux (previously Studentexamen) with an overall average score of VG or above (i.e MVG) (for certificates before 2014). From 2014 onwards, an average grade of C or above.
A VG or C in English A can be accepted as equivalent to IELTS 6.0 and therefore can be taken as a suitable alternative at Undergraduate level

Certain programmes, such as LLB Law or International Wildlife Biology, have different entry requirements. For further information please contact us.

English Qualifications

IELTS 6.0 overall with no less than 5.5 in each component
A VG in English A can be accepted as equivalent to IELTS 6.0 and therefore can be taken as a suitable alternative for most courses

Academic Qualifications

Kandidatexamen or Magisterexam with grade 'pass’ – Godkänd
Second Class Lower Honours degree or a Masters Degree.

MBA applicants should have one of the above and ideally 1 year of work experience.
