Strength and conditioning

Develop strength, technique and performance in a specialist strength and conditioning centre, with a large lifting suite designed for both individual sessions and full team training.

Indoor 3G pitch

We have a full-size indoor 3G pitch built to FIFA Pro and World Rugby standards, supporting year-round activity. With integrated performance analysis technology, you can review, refine and improve your work in every session.

With over 30 acres of outdoor space, including 11 pitches and multiple floodlit surfaces, you’ll have the room and facilities to train, compete and develop at every level.

Surrounded by the South Wales landscape, our Sport Park gives you space to train, recover and reset. From outdoor sessions to active recovery, the environment supports every stage of your development.

Easy Travel Between Campuses

Free, regular shuttle buses connect Sport Park with Glyntaff and Treforest, making it easy to access facilities, social spaces and support across USW.

  • From the M4: Exit at junction 32 and join the A470 north towards Merthyr Tydfil and Pontypridd
  • Exit the A470 at the A4054 junction and take the first exit into Treforest Industrial Estate
  • Follow signs for USW Sport Park, on your left just before the ATS building

If travelling southbound on the A470 from Merthyr Tydfil:

  • Exit at the A4054 junction and take the fourth exit into Treforest Industrial Estate
  • Follow signs for USW Sport Park
