Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science Travel Bursary 2026/2027
This travel bursary is for any University of South Wales student on a Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science (FCES) degree and undertaking their sandwich year during 2026/27.
Fees and Funding Scholarships and Bursaries
Worth £500, this one off, non means tested bursary is given to all students starting their sandwich year as part of their FCES degree course. The bursary is intended to provide financial support towards your travel costs to and from your sandwich placement.
How does it Work?
To be eligible, you need to meet the following criteria:
- Currently studying on an eligible full-time, Undergraduate Sandwich degree in the Faculty of Computing, Engineering, and Science.
- Will be undertaking your sandwich year during the academic year 2026/2027
Eligible courses:
BEng (Hons) Aeronautical Engineering
BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering
BSc (Hons) Construction Project Management
BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management
BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering
BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
BSc (Hons) Forensic Investigation
Following enrolment for your sandwich year, you will receive £500 paid directly into your bank account by BACS, during your first term (by the end of October 2026).
Provided you meet the eligibility criteria, no further action is required.
Following enrolment onto your sandwich year, you will receive an email from the University during September 2026 confirming that the travel bursary will paid and additional details.
