Library and Advice Zone

The Library and Advice Zone is a modern, open plan facility, that is a one stop-shop for learning and support. There are several bookable study pods as well as a silent study area.

South Wales Business School

The Business School of Tomorrow. Our South Wales Business School is leading the way with its practice-led business, accounting, and legal education. Supported by the innovative and collaborative work of both the Business Clinic and the Law Clinic, we use industry engagement and a challenge-based curriculum to help students hit the ground running with their careers.

Civil Engineering Labs

In these labs you’ll learn how to use industry-standard software for the design and construction of civil engineering projects.

Creative and Therapeutic Arts Studio

In our studio there is scope for workshops, more messy experimental work, as well as lectures and seminars. There is also dedicated studio space which students will have opportunity to access at specific points during their studies, for specific projects.

Moot Court

From realistic mock trials to debates and conferences, our moot court is the perfect environment to help you grow your confidence for your future career.

Food on Campus

There are several places to eat on campus including Stilts, a large food court that serves breakfast and lunch, as well as Crawshays café, the library café and the students’ union. There is a large variety of options across the campus including gluten free and vegan.

Financial Trading Room

This invaluable facility will enable you to use industry-standard software as you hone your skills, allowing you to react to price movements and news items which are relevant to a portfolio of shares and commodities.

Students’ Union

The Students’ Union is the hub of social life on campus. Here, you’ll find a shop, a nightclub, a café and a pub. It is a great place to socialise in between and after classes, is home to all USW clubs and societies and holds over 150 events annually.

You’ll find the very latest hardware and software keeping our courses up to speed, along with dedicated spaces where digital thinkers thrive, including our extra high-powered gaming centre and Digital Investigation Lab, just like those used for computer forensics by law enforcement.

Aircraft Facilities

For Aircraft Engineering, students can expect to see sub-sonic wind tunnels; two aircraft hangars with civil and military aircraft, and a MP521 engineering flight simulator.
