Staff: Printing from USW managed device MACs
Please take your time to ensure all details are correct when entering them. Follow these steps to setup and use:
Self Service can be found by in the Applications folder on your hard drive. Double click this folder.
Double click on Self Service.
A Mac (spotlight) search for self will also show the application.
Log into Self Service using your University credentials.
Papercut can be found in the Printers tab under the Browse folder or by using the search tab. Click Install. Once completed a pop-up window should be displayed.
Sign into the pop-up window using your USW email address identity. If the pop-up window does not display, a reboot should remedy this.
The FollowMe queue will now install on your Mac.
You can check if the printer is present by going into System Preferences and selecting Printers and Scanners.
The FollowMe printer queue can be seen below.
When printing please ensure the FollowMe queue is selected.
You may be asked for your user credentials on clicking Print. Your username should automatically populate, type in your password and click OK.
The print job will now be available to release on the printer. On the printer, you can scan your ID card or login with your Username and password. I will use Username and password for this guide.
Please enter your USW email address and password. Click Log in.
I have 5 print jobs available currently. Selecting Print release allows me to view each job.
You can now view each print job that can be released.
Select the job you want to print and click Print. Click Log out once complete.
Please note: The Papercut software will continue to run on your Mac. This can be accessed on the top right of your Mac desktop.
Your print account
Visit: https://selfserviceprinting.southwales.ac.uk/user from any device and enter your full USW email address.
You may need to select ‘use desktop version’ on some mobile devices to access full features.
Here you can view your print history and see what jobs are in your queue.
