Postal Loan and Scan and Deliver Service
This service is for USW students wanting to request a USW book by post or, to request a digital scan of a print-only copy of a USW journal article or book chapter to your email. If you have a query about the service, then please email [email protected]
The quickest way to borrow books is to find them on the shelves or place a request for collection at a campus library. However, if you are unable to visit campus, you can request items by post.
USW students can request books from our print collections to be posted to a nominated UK address using the “Place a Request” feature in FindIt. (Restrictions may apply, including limits on the number or weight of items).
Once your item has been dispatched, please allow up to 10 working days for delivery.
The postal loan service is available to USW students studying on-campus, blended-learning or distance courses. It is not available to students studying fully online courses or studying at partner colleges.
Digital copies of a USW print journal article can be requested by completing the online form. The scanned journal article will be emailed to your USW email account. If the article is not in stock you can request it from the British Library Request service on FINDit.
Please note: Our copyright licence does not cover anyone living outside the UK.
Digital copies of a USW print book chapter can be requested by completing the online form. Requests will be emailed to your USW email account within 2 working days if the book is not on loan.
