Take advantage of free events
Keep an eye out for free events such as open mic nights, art shows, pub quizzes, or free exhibitions.

Share subscriptions
Team up with housemates or friends to split the cost of streaming services like Netflix, Spotify, Disney+, or Xbox Game Pass. Just check the terms for shared accounts first!

Get outdoors
Walks, picnics, hiking trails, or beach trips are all low-cost ways to relax and have fun (and there are plenty of beautiful walks around South Wales). Explore local parks or jump on the train to explore the coast, the mountains or the valleys.

Find free trials and intro offers
Many online services and fitness classes offer free trials. Set reminders to cancel if you don’t want to continue—but enjoy the freebie first!

Budget for fun
It’s okay to spend money on things you enjoy! Just set a small monthly “fun fund” so you can treat yourself without going overboard. There are plenty of low cost ideas to try such as movie nights at home with friends or game nights.
