Why I chose USW and my experience so far
I chose USW for its proximity to home and glowing recommendations. I had offers from Cardiff University and Cardiff Met but decided on USW because my colleagues told me that the support that students receive from lecturers was amazing.
The BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance course's focus on financial management appealed to me, as I've always been good with numbers. I've since been thoroughly pleased with how the course is run. I really enjoy the financial management aspect of the course and know that it will benefit me not only in my professional career but also in my personal life.

I've found tremendous value in using Sage accounting software and engaging with resources in the on-campus Trading Room. These experiences have enhanced my skills and prepared me for real-life working scenarios, software, and environments.
Engaging with industry professionals at careers fairs and through guest lectures allowed me to network and ultimately secure a graduate job as a business tax analyst at Deloitte. I will be working as part of a team to help Deloitte’s clients with their tax issues. We have studied tax as part of this course, and this will no doubt help me immensely when I start in the role.
