Combining Passion and Practicality

My choice to study Law was motivated by a deep-rooted interest in justice and problem-solving. I wanted to pursue a subject where I could make a tangible difference. USW stood out because of its practical approach to learning and strong industry links. Attending the Open Day confirmed I had made the right decision after meeting supportive staff and seeing the impressive facilities.

During my time here, I’ve taken part in mooting competitions, worked in the Legal Advice Clinic, and attended several networking events. These experiences allowed me to apply classroom learning to real-life legal contexts and develop key employability skills.

Gaining Real-World Legal Skills

The Legal Advice Clinic and Moot Court have been vital to my education. They've helped me understand how to put legal theory into practice, enhancing my advocacy, research, and communication abilities. One highlight has been working on a real case in the Clinic and seeing the client benefit from the advice we provided.

After graduating, I hope to qualify as a solicitor in a supportive firm where I can grow professionally and continue helping clients. My advice to future students is to take advantage of every practical opportunity—moots, networking, and the Clinic—and embrace the hard work. It’s all worth it.
