Moving to Cardiff to finish my degree
I started my digital marketing degree in Norway, and through a partnership between my university and USW, I had the option to complete my final two years here in Cardiff, so I took it. I didn’t attend an Open Day but had an online session with Holly, the course leader, which helped me get a feel for the course and what to expect.
The facilities at USW are impressive and accessible. We have access to equipment like computers, cameras, and even spaces like podcast studios and video rooms, which is great for hands-on learning. Although I’ve only been here for a short time, we already have an upcoming visit to Rebel Lion Advertising, which will give us valuable industry exposure. It’s an exciting opportunity, and I look forward to more experiences like this throughout my studies.

Cardiff is a fantastic city for creative students; everything is close by, and there’s always something happening. My favourite part of the course so far is the variety of subjects and how each one connects to our semester finals, allowing us to apply what we learn directly.
For anyone considering advertising, I’d recommend USW - especially for international students. The staff are very supportive and always ready to answer questions.
