Partner College Students

If you are studying at a partner college, your exam schedule will be available through your course team on the date set out on the Key Dates for Exams page.

All arrangements for your exams will be made by your institute of study and this information will be communicated by them.

Changes to exam timetables

Once the timetable has been published to your Outlook calendar, there may be occasions when unavoidable changes have to be made. If this is necessary, your timetable will automatically be updated in your Outlook calendar, and you will also receive an email notifying you of the changes.

We recommend you check your timetable on a regular basis. This is particularly important if you need to make travel arrangements in advance of your exams.

If you study at a USW campus, your exam timetable for the main periods will be published online on the date detailed in the Exam Periods and Key Dates page.

Students must be available for the duration of the exam periods to sit their examinations. Adjustments for personal holidays will not be considered.

When setting the exam timetable, the University aims to minimise the number of students who are expected to sit more than one exam in a day or on consecutive days. However this is sometimes unavoidable due to the complexity of the exam schedule.

We recommend you check the exams timetable on a regular basis. You will need to consider this if you have to make extended travel arrangements in advance of your exams.

Your timetable will display all exams scheduled centrally by Academic Registry. Each exam will display:

  • Module code
  • Module title
  • Assessment code
  • Date
  • Day
  • Start time
  • Room
  • Any special provisions as listed on a valid Individual Support Plan (ISP) - Please note for reader/scribe/typist provision you will need to speak with your Module Leader to have one booked. Please visit the Disability Service pages for further information relating to special provisions for exams.

Your timetable will show a number of annotations, which are shorthand for the type of exam you are sitting and any ISP provision.
