Black History Month
Steady helps users to manage behaviour through daily check-ins and personalised insights. The platform promotes consistency, self-awareness, and independence while connecting users to relevant support when needed.
Gideon, who is based at the University’s Startup Stiwdio based in Newport, said: “Steady started as just an idea: a vision to use technology to support people struggling silently with addiction and behavioural challenges. When I shared my idea with the USW Startup Stiwdio, the encouragement and belief I received gave me the confidence to move forward. Today, Steady is a live mobile app, and through the Stiwdio’s continued support, I’ve gained access to mentorship, strategic guidance, and opportunities that have been instrumental in this journey. I’m genuinely grateful to USW Startup Stiwdio for helping turn an idea into reality.”
The app was soft launched at an event at the University’s Newport Stiwdio on Wednesday 30 September.
