Reward and Recognition

There are internal and external pathways to reward and recognition for USW staff.

A group of staff that have been recognised for an award are smiling with their certificates.

USW Staff Thanks, Award and Recognition Scheme (STARS)

The USW Staff Thanks, Award and Recognition Scheme (STARS) is a celebration of our staff. We want to support and showcase our staff, and share the ways of working within USW which exceed expectations, which help to improve everyone’s experience at the University.

The scheme is designed to formally recognise and thank staff for their contribution to the University and wider community, enabling the institution to capture and highlight the practice of our staff.

This self- and peer-nominated award recognises individuals or teams who demonstrate innovation and emerging impact in one of three categories:

  • Service Delivery and Development;
  • Research, Innovation and Engagement; or
  • Teaching and Supporting Learning.

If you would like to nominate yourself or a colleague for a STARS Award, please email [email protected] for more information about the nomination process.
