The Centre for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT) works with staff and students across the University of South Wales to support high-quality, inclusive and innovative learning and teaching. We bring together expertise across curriculum design, digitally enabled education, student engagement and staff development to deliver impactful, evidence-informed practice.

What we do 

  • CELT supports the University’s strategic priorities by working collaboratively with faculties and professional services to enhance learning, teaching and the wider student experience.
  • Curriculum and assessment – supporting course design, active and inclusive learning, and effective assessment and feedback.
  • Digital education – strengthening digital capability and driving effective, high-quality use of digital approaches in learning and teaching.
  • Professional development – delivering CPD, accredited programmes and opportunities for staff to develop their practice.
  • Student engagement – strengthening student voice, partnership and belonging.
