Mental Wellbeing
As exciting as university can be, it can also come with challenges. Things can feel overwhelming, and you might need support with your wellbeing and mental health. We are here for you. Our advisers can talk to you to explore your needs, signpost you to help, and support you directly. We also offer a wide range of events to help improve your wellbeing.

Individual support - starts here!
The first step to getting individual support from us is to attend one of our drop-in sessions or book a wellbeing advice appointment.
Our wellbeing advice drop-ins are available across all campuses during term time, from 1pm-4pm on the following days:
- Treforest campus, every Wednesday in room H014B
- Cardiff campus, every Thursday in room CAA002
- Newport campus, every first Thursday of the month in the library, NCB12A
- Glyntaff campus, every last Thursday of the month in room GTL003
If you cannot attend any of the drop-in sessions, you can book a wellbeing advice appointment.
Wellbeing advice appointments are 30 minute sessions conducted in person, via telephone or online. They are a safe and confidential opportunity to discuss whatever issues you may have. You will receive appropriate assistance and support referrals if needed. Support could include referrals to workshops, short courses, activities, mental health advice, or counselling.
Book a wellbeing advice appointment through Advice Zone Online.
Please note: you cannot book an appointment directly with a Mental Health Adviser or a Counsellor before having a wellbeing advice appointment.
