About USW Health Team

The  USW Health Team is a nurse led service available for students to discuss or manage any physical health issues that they may have, including pre-existing health conditions, minor ailments, minor injuries, wound management, sexual health & contraceptive advice. We can also help with GP Registration and access to other healthcare services.

Appointments with USW Health Team

Appointments- please include your mobile number in the notes section of the online booking form. If this is your first appointment, you will be asked to register with USW Health Team, and you will be sent a link to register when you book the appointment.

Registering with a local GP surgery

Common health ailments
Very often you don't need to see a doctor for most common ailments , therefore the advice will include signposting you to the most relevant service to help you as well as self-treatment options from the pharmacy.

Wound care and minor injuries
Advice only unless an on-campus appointment has been booked.   

Advice and information
On issues including but not limited to:

• Repeat Prescriptions
• Contraception Choices
• Sexual Health Issues
• Food, Diet & Nutrition
• Sleep problems
