Induction Timetables

Your induction timetable outlines the schedule of activities and events designed to help you transition smoothly into university life. It typically includes:

  • Welcome sessions introducing you to your course and department

  • Meet-and-greet events with your lecturers and fellow students

  • Campus tours and welcome activities

  • Support sessions on using university systems, accessing student services, and academic expectations

  • Introductory lectures or workshops relevant to your subject area

These sessions are tailored to give you the knowledge and confidence to start your studies successfully. Timetables will be available in your Microsoft Outlook calendar 48 hours from completing your university IT account set-up.

Teaching Timetables

Your teaching timetable shows the schedule for your lectures, seminars, workshops, and other course-related sessions. It includes the times and locations of your regular academic classes. Your teaching timetable will be available 48 hours from completing your university IT account set-up and upon enrolment. Please check your timetable regularly, as changes to rooms or session times may occasionally occur.

How to access your timetable using Outlook

You can view your timetable directly through your Outlook calendar. Simply log in at outlook.office.com using your University of South Wales student account details (e.g. [email protected]). Once you're signed in, your calendar will automatically show your scheduled classes and events. But you need to complete the enrolment process beforehand.

You can also access your timetable on the go by downloading the Outlook app on your mobile device. Just sign in with your student account and head to the calendar tab to keep your schedule at your fingertips.
