Set Up Your IT Account
Before you can access your university email, online learning, and other university services, you need to activate your IT account.
It only takes a few minutes to get set up with your login, password, and multi-factor authentication. Before you begin, make sure you read our setup guide to avoid any issues.
Submit your information
Once you've activated your university IT account, use your new account details to log into your Student Record.
From there, you’ll need to upload your personal information and a photo for your student ID. You’ll also need to complete a short questionnaire and accept our terms and conditions to finish your setup.
Collect Your Student ID Card
After setting up your IT account and completing online enrolment, you'll be issued with a Student Smart ID. This multi-purpose card serves as your University ID, library card, door entry, and provides access to many university services and facilities.
Your ID card will remain valid for the duration of your course and will not be reissued annually. The expiry date is shown on the card.
Cards can be collected from the Advice Zone at your campus. For full details on when, where, and how to collect your Student ID card, including exact Advice Zone locations and opening hours, read our Student ID cards guidance page.
