The University offers the following scholarships for self-funding international students. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application. For more information visit the international scholarships page.

  • International Academic Scholarship of £1,500 per year for undergraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £2,000 for postgraduate students
  • International Academic Scholarships of £1,500 for MBA students

  • Foundation Entry Requirements

    • Faculty Foundation Years are available for those students who do not meet the entry requirements for year 1 of a Bachelor degree.


    Undergraduate Entry Requirements

    English Qualifications

    Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales recognises the following English Language qualifications:

    • GCSE/O Level English Language grade C or above
    • IELTS 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each band)

    Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language courses.


    Academic Qualifications

    • Students who have passed their year 12 School Leaving Certificate would be considered for direct entry onto a Bachelor degree.
    • Students who have completed 1-2 years of university education in Australia may be considered for advanced entry on to a Bachelor degree.

    Postgraduate Entry Requirements

    English Qualifications

    Postgraduate Study: IELTS with an overall score of 6.0 with at least a 5.5 in each component. Please note that some courses may require a higher level of English language proficiency than the University’s standard requirements. Please see the course page for further information.

  • Don’t worry if you do not meet these requirements as we offer a range of English Language Courses to prepare you for academic studies.


  • Academic Qualifications

    • Students who have a Bachelor degree with Honours with a ''satisfactory/good’’ result from a recognised institution or a high pass from a three year Ordinary degree will be considered for entry onto a Masters course.
    • Students who have a Bachelor degree with Honours with a ''satisfactory/good’’ result from a recognised institution, and a minimum of 2-3 years of managerial work experience will be considered for the MBA.
