We have three vibrant campuses around the capital city of Wales; Cardiff. Here, you can enjoy a high standard of living at a low cost. You’ll be surrounded by the best of South Wales’ cities, coast and countryside, and we’re only 2 hours from London via train. Most of our 500 + courses are recognised or accredited by professional organisations and are all taught with employability in mind. That’s why 96% of USW graduates are in Employment and/or Further Study 15 months after graduation (Graduate Outcomes Survey 2021/22).


Everything you need to know

As a self-funding international student from Australia, you are eligible for a scholarship of:

  • £1,500 per year for undergraduate students
  • £2,000 per year for postgraduate students

This applies to courses starting in September 2024 and February 2025. You will be automatically considered for one of these awards when we receive your application.

Students who have passed their year 12 Senior School Leaving Certificate will be considered for direct entry onto a Bachelor's degree.

Students who have completed one to two years of university education in Australia will be considered for advanced entry onto a Bachelor's degree.

Foundation Years are available for those students who do not meet the entry requirements for year one of a Bachelor's degree.

English Qualifications

Proficiency in English is essential for Undergraduate study. The University of South Wales accepts a variety of language qualifications for entry. If you have successfully completed year 12 of secondary school education with a good Senior School Leaving Certificate, you will be considered for English language requirement exemption.

Students who have a Bachelor's degree with Honours with a "satisfactory/good’’ result from a recognised institution or a high pass from a three-year ordinary degree will be considered for entry onto a Masters's course.
