We welcome all students at USW, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation. We celebrate diversity and it is important to us that all members of our university can express themselves authentically while feeling safe and valued.

Chaplaincy

Being open to others is a fundamental principle of the Chaplaincy’s ethos. We warmly welcome and include all people regardless of race, colour, gender, age, nationality, economic circumstances, marital status, sexual orientation, physical or mental ability or emotional condition.

STONEWALL CHAMPION

USW has been a Stonewall Diversity Champion since 2016 and all our locations welcome the LGBTQ+ community. One of our campuses is in Cardiff - a city known for its incredible LGBTQ+ scene and community.

International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia

The International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia was founded in 2004 to draw attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex people, and all of those with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
