This module will enable the student to critically analyse key factors underpinning empowerment and its role in the management of people, resources and performance.

You will learn:
- Introduction to Quality Improvement and how to utilise models for Improvement in the student's practice area.
- Quality Improvement tools
- Leadership and Management
Upon completion, students will have the knowledge and understanding of the process of quality improvement and how this may be implemented in clinical practice. Students will also be able to develop their understanding around leadership and management skills, supporting them in professional development.
- All taught sessions are delivered in a classroom environment.
- There are also pre-reading and distance learning activities.
You will be required to dedicate 200 hours to this module.

- Part 1 - Oral Presentation (15 minutes)
- Part 2 - Essay 3000 words
You will be supported by the Module Leaders and Module team. You will also be aligned to an academic supervisor for the assessments linked to the module.
- Students will require a good level of IT skills and access to emails.
- Access to a PC or laptop is essential as you will be required to access learning platforms, resources and materials to support your learning.
- Assessments will also be submitted electronically.
