Why I chose USW and my master’s journey

My journey to USW began as I sought a unique study-abroad experience to broaden my perspective. Driven by my desire for cultural immersion and knowledge, I've always been intrigued by the idea of studying in Wales, and I discovered that USW was the perfect university for me, with its combination of location and course structure. 

I found immense value in all of the modules I've studied, particularly the Industrial Heating System module. This course helped refine my calculator skills through Excel Solver, a skill I'm confident will be crucial in my career. The comprehensive understanding of core mechanical subjects I've gained has significantly boosted my confidence in my employability.

At USW, I’ve engaged with the industry through field trips, such as a sports car exploration in Birmingham, adding practical depth to my learning. I've also mastered software like ANSYS and Matlab coding—considered invaluable in my field—illustrating the industry relevance of the curriculum. 

Throughout my academic journey, I've truly appreciated the support available at USW, especially during Ramadan. The camaraderie among my department friends has also greatly supported me during challenging times. Overall, my experience at USW has left a deep impression on me, and I am utterly convinced that USW is the best!
