The Foundation Year in Real Estate forms part of an integrated four-year degree programme, and is designed for students who do not currently meet the admissions criteria for direct entry onto a degree course in subjects including BSc (Hons) Real Estate.

This comprehensive program equips students with practical skills and academic training for careers in structural design, project management, transport engineering, and sustainable development.

If you don’t have the right qualifications to start our BEng Automotive Engineering degree, you could opt to start with a foundation course. You’ll study introductory modules relevant to the degree course whilst successful completion of the foundation year will allow you to progress onto the BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering.

You’ll develop your scientific skills and knowledge before going on to gain practical skills in volume crime scene examination, analysis of forensic evidence, and courtroom simulations. You will learn about the structure and processes that regulate the criminal justice system, and the law associated with criminal investigation. You’ll undertake simulated investigations in our Crime Scene Training Facility, ranging from domestic burglaries and vehicle examinations to more complex scenes like arson and homicide. You’ll study several cases and learn about the forensic techniques used while being able to critically appraise and evaluate forensic approaches.

If you don’t have the right grades to enrol directly on to the BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering degree, you could opt to start your studies with a foundation year. It has been designed to develop your skills in mechanics and mathematics –important areas which will underpin your learning on the degree course.
