Sport and Leisure

You don't have to be a member of a competitive sports team to benefit from the facilities we have at USW. Our on-campus Sport Centre caters for everyone, from elite athletes to students who want to keep fit.

Sports Teams

From squash to hockey, golf and many more, there’s sure to be something you’ll enjoy. USW has a thriving competitive sports environment, and we have over 60 teams playing in the British Universities and Colleges (BUCS) leagues.

As a member, you will have access to the sports hall or the gym - with over 50 cardio machines, weight training equipment, squash courts, free weights room and a studio for exercise classes.

Get involved

Joining a sports team, club or society at university can be a great way to meet new people, enjoy your hobbies and try something new.

Our sports teams, clubs and societies all have stalls at our Freshers' Fair where you can sign up for trials with the sports teams, and join the clubs and societies.
