Repeat Year - Repeat Failed Modules
You have not passed sufficient modules to be allowed to proceed to the next part of your course. You will be required to repeat all modules with a status of ‘Repeat’ during the next academic session.
Please be advised that the following points will apply to your repeat assessment(s) and module(s):
- You will not be able to attain a mark higher than the overall module pass mark in any repeat modules. Your actual assessment mark will be recorded and the overall module will be capped at the module pass mark. Please refer to course handbook for module pass mark.
- If the mark you achieve at repeat is lower than what you achieved at your first attempt, the repeat mark will still be recorded.
- If you fail to attempt your resit assessment a mark of “0” will be recorded.
What do I need to do now?
- If you intend to repeat, we advise you to read the Repeat Information regarding module regulations. Please note, Repeat modules attract a fee. If you are funded by the Student Loans Company you should notify them of your repeat student status. For more information, see our page on Repeating Part of your Course - Funding Implications. You can also discuss funding and financial implications with the Student Money Advice Team.
- It is your responsibility to contact your module leader about your assessment(s).
- You will be required to re-enrol on your course. You will receive an email to your student account confirming that you are eligible to use the online enrolment service. Further information on how to do this can be found on the Enrolment website.
International Students
Study Length May be Extended – As you have not yet successfully completed all the assessments assigned to you during your period of study you may not have enough time on your current visa to complete your studies in the UK. If you are concerned that this may be the case, you should contact Repeat Information.
