You can proceed to the next part of your course. However, as you did not pass the resit assessment(s) that you sat during the resit period, the assessment(s) will be carried into your next year of study as a resit.

Please be advised that the following points will apply to your resit assessment(s) and module(s):

  • You will not be able to attain a mark higher than the overall module pass mark in any module where you are re-sitting an assessment. Your actual assessment mark will be recorded and the overall module will be capped at the module pass mark. Please refer to course handbook for module pass mark.
  • If the mark you achieve at resit is lower than what you achieved at your first attempt, the resit mark will still be recorded.
  • If you fail to attempt your resit assessment a mark of “0” will be recorded.
  • The 5 working day late submission rule DOES NOT apply to resit work or to work submitted as a first attempt during a resit period.

What do I need to know?

  • We advise you to read the Resit Information regarding undertaking your assessment(s) in the next academic session.
  • It is your responsibility to contact your Module Leader about your assessment(s).
  • You will be required to re-enrol on your course. You will receive an email to your student account confirming that you are eligible to use the online enrolment service. Further information on how to do this can be found on the Enrolment website.
